Eduardo Mota
I currently work as a data scientist at Correcto, a start-up that focuses on NLP projects in Spanish, where I can cultivate my research interests connected with NLP, machine learning and AI in general.
Before taking part in Correcto, I worked at Cap Gemini Engineering, where I had the opportunity to participate in tasks related to NLP, Optimization and Quantum Machine Learning.
Prior to this, I held a postdoctoral position in the Department of Geometry and Topology at the University of Granada within the research project "Variational problems and elliptic PDEs in geometry" and before that at University College Cork, in Ireland. During those years my research was focused on differential geometry and geometric analysis, theory of surfaces (especially minimal and constant mean curvature surfaces), integrable systems and geometric flows.
My teaching experience comprises several courses in pure mathematics such as multivariable calculus, linear algebra, geometry or differential equations, and courses related to introductory financial mathematics.

About me
I was born in 1988 in Madrid (Spain). In 2015 I got my degree in Mathematics at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Then, I completed a master's degree at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. After that, I moved to Cork (Ireland) where I enjoyed a PhD Fellowship with teaching duties, working under the supervision of Dr Martin Kilian.
My thesis focuses on the construction of new families of constant mean curvature surfaces, using the methods from integrable systems and loop groups.
I also have a solid knowledge of programming and even some industry experience as a developer.
Sport is one of my hobbies - in particular I love football and I have played in different teams, at different levels and in different countries since my childhood. I am also a science, astronomy and tech lover and... I'm always ready for a chess game!
